passion and anger. It is better to rage against the preventable suffering

/because it leads to the

suggestion of gorgeous alternatives/

than to express our sadness. We could do a whole evening (maybe a

lifetime) of just weeping, and say (as we always do anyway): 'This

is a play about the human condition.'"
