what I did this summer

If you order from Catfish press you will not be getting mail from me. You will be getting mail from my mother. Really, it is better that way. Your envelopes will be addressed correctly and in legible hand. Also, your book will not have to cross oceans and deserts to get there. They will not have to avoid Japanese embargos or be tempted by the beaches of Hawaii. No, these books will come at you full of momentum from a little piece of heaven called Brevard.

In other news, I have begun to write again. This summer was spent making books and applying to PhD programs. I have the UK on my mind these days. Like how they leave you alone to wander libraries as opposed to making you go to class like you are in second grade. I want to study what I want to study not what you want to study. Anyway, keep your fingers crossed. The poems are moving forward. The notice from schools should be coming soon…. And if I am in the UK I have a huge project floating in my brain. It needs the UK though. It can’t be done in Seoul. It can’t be done in the USA.

SY only has to pay $30 bc China likes Korea.

Yesterday I went to the Chinese embassy to get a visa. Fight from Seoul to Shanghai, $200. Chinese Visa for a US citizen, $100. $100 bucks in China goes a long way. When I was teaching in Hunan, maybe seven years ago, my monthly salary was $200.

Catfish in your face!

Know you have been waiting and waiting. Well, the waiting is over. Catfish Press has made two books, The Margaret Thatcher Trilogy by Richard Froude & Letters Toward Jim by Matthew Langley. Stacy Dacheux & Allan McLeod provided the lovely art for the books. Both books can be purchased from the Catfish Press website with PayPal. Both books are better than a cold Budweiser… even better than drinking a cold Bud while floating in a lake in one of those floaty chairs. Trust me. Also on the site is our new Catfish jingle. It was written by Pirooz Kalayeh and Jim Goar and performed by Pirooz Kalayeh and The Slipshod Swingers. All in all, just dig.
