Black Ocean's Open Reading Period

"As publishing writers we do not believe in reading fees and will consider all submissions based on the merit of their work and quality of writing. The reading period is between May 1st and June 30th.

Ira Lightman is a conceptual poet, as surreal as Vic n'Bob, according to Kate Fox. He regularly appears on Radio 3's The Verb, last year wearing a blindfold for a week to write Miltonic verse. He makes award-winning Public Art throughout the North East, and lately in Willenhall in the West Midlands. His book DUETCETERA (Shearsman) is a collection of double-column poems, which he duets with people from all around the world on his YouTube channel



Jim Goar’s Whole Milk is available from Effing Press. Seoul Bus Poems, a collection written during a three year stay in Seoul, will be published by Reality Street Editions. Some recent poetry has appeared in Typo, Octopus, Word for / Word, Harvard Review, Cimarron Review, LIT and No Tell Motel. He edits the online journal, past simple.



Anna Ticehurst is studying at Sussex University, & has had poems published with QUID, online with Dusie, and

Capillary Interspace, and the Openned magazines, Cannibal Spices and

Baseball all the time. Watching MLB.com. Might not be perfect in their internet flow, but they are trying and it is better than the other options of no TV in the UK. So happy to be able to watch the Giants everyday. See the Grail. Take the Grail. I feel that 90 wins is a possibility.

Reading HTML GIANT. Nothing better going on. Enjoyed their look at the NY Tyrant. Thing is, my bookshelf is not so hot either. Not that it matters, but there it is. Really though, the books that matter most right now are bellow the hammock or beside the toilet.
